The 2012 BMW 650i Convertible arrives Spring of 2011. This 4.4 liter V-8 BMW produces 400 bhp at 5500 rpm and 450 lb.-ft torque at 1750 rpm. BMW Plant Near Greer, South Carolina Produced 18,537 BMW’s in December

The X3, X5 and X6 BMW’s produced ion the BMW facility near Greer, South Carolina drove U.S. sales up in December and for the year. The company reported Tuesday that sales of the X3 increased 63.6 percent. X5 sales increased 12.1 percent in December to 3,939 units and December sales of the X6 jumped up a whopping 53 percent to 859 units, compared to 562 units during the same month of the previous year.

The X3, X5 and X6 segment accounted for more than 18 percent of BMW’s total U.S. sales in 2010. BMW of North America LLC said it sold 27,600 vehicles in December, a nearly 17 percent increase from the 23,617 vehicles sold during the same month of 2009.

“As we’ve seen throughout the last six months of 2010, consumers in December clearly felt more confident about the future and showed it in their purchases,” said Jim O’Donnell, president and CEO of BMW North America, in a statement. “We really like the momentum we’re getting as a result of this and along with our continual aggressive new model launches from BMW and MINI in 2011 we have real optimism we will continue growing our business with profitable sales in the new year.”

2011 Alpina B7 at Chicago Auto Show in February 2011

The Alpina B7 will be displayed at the Chicago Auto Show in February 2011. The 2011 Chicago Auto Show is the nation’s largest and longest-running auto show. It has 1 million square feet of exhibit space.

BMW has absolutely no plans of making an M version of the F01 7 Series. However, they do have plans to make something better than their new 2011 Alpina B7. The Alpina BMW has a 4.4 liter twin turbocharged V8 which is capable of producing 500 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. The Aplina is an awesome luxury car with power to boot.

The Alpina B7 has light weight 21 inch wheels and a luxurious interior. The standard wheel base Alpina has an MSRP of $122,875 and the extended wheel base has an MSRP of $126,775.
